The Center for Robotics (CRob – USP) aims to promote the interaction of USP São Carlos research laboratories and increase the efficiency of robotics-related works.
The USP campus in São Carlos is home to the first robotics center in Brazil and brings together professionals and students from the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) and the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC).
This initiative proposes to expand the use of resources already available, the acquisition of new equipment and the strengthening of research in development, especially those focused on the industry.
The University develops research on robotization of automobiles, aerial robotics for monitoring agricultural areas and transmission lines.
It also has the partnership of the automaker Fiat, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company (EMBRAPA) and the energy distributor Ampla.
